Military and Riot Thugs Detain, Dehumanize and TORTURE American Citizens

In what was possibly the most surreal, horrific, and unimaginable thing I have ever witnessed in my life, 1200 Riot Police and Military Personal rabidly attacked a group of well under 300 American citizens, many of them just students that were unaware there was even a protest going on.  They then expanded their perimeter and shut large areas of the Oakland down.  This is how my last experience at the G20 in Pittsburgh went down, out of control authorities mercilessly attacking an unarmed crowd with batons, tear gas, pepper spray, sound weapons, and rubber bullets.  Around 10pm on Friday night, long after the vast majority of dignitaries and protesters had left, it became evident that the outrageous show of force by the Military and Police was not enough to stave off their thirst for blood.

When I first arrived on the scene Luke Rudkowski of We Are Change and a small group of protesters were peaceably assembling among a much larger number of college students just out for another weekend of fun in Schenley Plaza.  Around ten minutes later Rob Dew arrived and we began filming the entire scene, it was evident that the number of police already in the area and the amount who were massing and surrounding the perimeter was extremely alarming.

As Luke bull horned that the people in this park meant the police no physical harm, and that they were simply exercising their right to free speech, a couple of masked individuals began to scream “He doesn’t speak for us”.  These few provocateurs and well meaning idiots could have been easily dealt with by a handful of regular police officers dressed in their standard uniform, however that solution does not offer the pretext for over a thousand heavily armed psychotics to encircle and engage the American people.

I began to become extremely frightened as to what the outcome of the situation was going to be as I began to witness LRAD weapons showing up, Dogs beginning to circle the perimeter, and then everyone putting on their gas masks.  During all of this I was threatened with arrest three times and physically charged and chased by one of the officers.  At that point I realized they were about to attack, and they did.  Hundreds of armed to the teeth trained professionals began their march towards innocent young men and women, and then took it much further by launching tear gas canisters, battening people trying to leave, and firing rubber bullets randomly into the crowd.  Luckily I was able to slip through the cracks of a blockade of only 6 or so Riot thugs as they tried to amass more in that area and form another brutal line.

I personally witnessed a young man on a bike being beaten for no reason whatsoever and as he fled the officers then beat his bike.  When the young man tried to retrieve his bike his knuckle was broken.  Another man was gassed so badly he had to be taken to the hospital.  This is how “Peace Officers” treat us?

During the very quick first burst of the madness I lost touch with Infowars Producer and Cameraman Rob Dew, I immediately thought he had been arrested, and I was correct.  He was illegally detained and digitally fingerprinted in a separate process for “protesters”.  Rob was cuffed all evening in a room full of other detainees, and was not released until 10:20 am the next morning with no charges being brought against him.  Military and Police mocked them as Americans were being detained and processed often laughing at college students that had been beaten for no other reason for being in the wrong place around there campus that evening.

Luke Rudowski received multiple battens to his back and legs as the jackals descended on him with force, even though he had made it clear to all of them he wished them no violence.  For his peaceful efforts Luke and Lee from We Are Change were separated from the rest of the more than one hundred detainees and sent to State Prison.  Luke was strip searched, mocked, and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Assembly, and will have to go back to Pittsburgh Wednesday to face charges.  The Military and Police laughed as they took note of the “Superstar” that had been all over the news on channel 11 and even National NBC, taking a sick pleasure in the torture of another human being.

Welcome to the New Amerika.

No words to express my horror about what is happening in our time–right now. I am officially freaked out and scared. I don’t know what to do. What do we do? Free radio and internet is the only way to spread awareness of what is really happening but big bro has control over that and can disband everything at a moments notice. Then what do we do?

This is so sick! I couldn’t believe the injustices I saw watching similar videos on Youtube. What the heck is wrong with these people? Why doesn’t ONE damn main stream news channel pick these stories up? It’s so ridiculous that cops can be faceless, nameless thugs and get away with abusing the “power” they have. I’m so sick of this crap. I used to be one of those people who’d think ‘Yeah, beat those hippies!’ Now that I know they are supposed to serve us and not the other way around, it’s time to make changes. Thank God for the internet and video cameras. If not for those technologies, I honestly wouldn’t have believed all the accusations. But with the hundreds of videos out there, EVERY ONE SHOULD SEE THIS. People have to understand these are “PEACE” officers. To protect and SERVE - US, we the people. I’m at a loss for words.

It’s just getting started. The government obviously knows that it’s going to get worse so they are going to start probing and tagging folks. They are going to try and break us. I just hope we are strong enough to keep fighting….

I think every listener to Alex’s show who heard your live reports experienced the horror you were experiencing. I can only hope that Rob Dew, Luke and others are able to press charges against these bastards.

I still don’t understand why these protesters haven’t revolted with grenades and shotguns.

Good info Jason, but please have it proof-read before posting. I like to link these articles and a well-edited article goes a long way to the “older folks”.

My wife proof-reads most of my writings, and she catches errors at times. It’s her strength and not mine.

Keep doing what you’re doing by all means.

Yesterday (Saturday) I spent time searching on news.google and at the various Pgh TV news sites for any mention of injuries or hospitalization. There was none, except for some indymedia sites and private Opednews.com submissions on news.google. Perhaps there is a gap between Friday evening news and Monday, during which all sorts of mayhem won’t be reported.
There are anecdotes of broken bones. Setting youtube or flickr to highlight the most reent submissions with ‘G20′ tags was the best way to learn what’s going on. The Pitt newspaper has comments after articles that gave very good details, but 1/4 of the writers seemed to have cognitive dissonance, insisting that the students chased outside must be disobedient, attention getters.
Historically, many people supported the National Guard during Kent State.
BTW, as a general principle, you can’t mess with members of the upper-middle class who rank higher than police, of whom there must be some at Mellon and Pitt U’s.
It is interesting to observe that entire police forces seem to display the same behavior, but it is different from city to city. San Francisco has had chaotic situations ( http://tinyurl.com/yechakm here a whole crowd was blocked in response to the events just earlier http://tinyurl.com/ybnvad7 ), but they still have much calmer crowd control, no injuries or decision to use weapons on innocents. Part of this must be the commander making the decisions and giving orders in the earpiece, while other incidents result from your Wilhelm Reich fascist personalities on the force.

Let’s look at the bright side. During the early years of the Vietnam War protests the media was able to persuade the majority, by covering protest of an unpopular minority (”hippies, previous civil-rights activists, the disaffected, pacifists, etc.), that the anti-war movement was treasonous. So effective was this propaganda that when the kids at Kent State were shot otherwise “decent” people actually stated that the kids had it coming to them. Who needs this sort of media coverage anyway? Let’s Google Mario Savio, Dave Dellinger, the Berrigan brothers, Kent State massacre, Weathermen, Students for a Democratic Society. These abuses and these terrible times will produce our new heros and patriots regardless of mainline media. Nietzche wrote (Zarathustra) that “not around the makers of noise does the world revolve, but around the creators of new values, but it revolves silently”. Now is the time for activists among us to work together. We are many. They are few (see http://bigeye.com/ozymandias.htm)

From now on the appropriate response should be for the residents of the area to put on a mask, grab a gun or some other type of weapon and have 100,000 people surround the 1200 “cops” and show them what it means to attack the American people. Bring this to my town and I will lead the way. The fight has begun. If you even show up and throw a rock at these jack booted thugs the show of solidarity by the people will force the pigs to think twice about this type of attack. The fact that this happened in a large American city and the city did not rise up is very scary. Isn’t this what gangs have been fighting against ? Do not let the police do this, they are far outnumbered and outgunned. Stand up to them and show them that attacking the American people like this will result in an early retirement to civilian.

Jason, I can’t thank you enough for your continued efforts in this fight. I’m glad you and your crew made it out of there relatively safe, the needless detainment and beatings not withstanding. Please pass along word to Luke, and everyone else whom is in this fight that their efforts are inspiring more and more of us to join the peaceful resistance. God bless all of you!

I’ve said for a long time that police are simply another, albeit well armed and organized, gang on the street. This level of brutality hasn’t been seen since pre-WWII

14 Sol { 09.27.09 at 4:38 pm }

Not to defend the police, but truthers reported some of them questioning orders. This leads me to believe that not all police are imperious tyrants. Those members of the establishment should be protected. Fuck the rest.

15 BeTrueSeekTruth { 09.27.09 at 5:34 pm }

Jason, you or Alex need to get the mayor of Pittsburgh and the Police Chief on the show. They need to be held accountable for the brutality. The offer to come on your show or Alex’s and provide us reasons why these innocent people were brutalized needs to be advertised nationally.
They need to be confronted with the reality of what they’ve done without hiding behind the media lies.

Jason, if you could please pass this on to the infowars information technology people: please insert a name= tags at the title of each individual post so that hyperlinks can be made to individual entries. This enables individual articles, as opposed to the whole stream, to be referenced much easier on facebook and other streams more likely to reach a wider audience than the standard ‘tinfoil hat’ crowd. It is a way to get the message to more people, which should be what you’re working for, I assume.

I am, of course, available for any customization of PHP, Java, JSP, Python, Perl, C, or other engines that you may need help with in order to bring this application up to speed to help the infowars project thanks to the dire state of the economy. Please email me for a copy of my resumé.
